The Gems of Cairo is an Egyptian-style Folkloric and Cabaret dance troupe based in Shreveport, Louisiana.
We take our name from the ancient city of Cairo, a city that for centuries served as a crossroads of many cultures. A wide variety of those cultures are reflected in our dance styles. Our ever expanding repertoire includes traditional Middle Eastern dances, spirited Spanish Flamenco inspired numbers, a lively gypsy-style dance and more. We love to use props including Canes, Swords, Veils and Isis Wings.
We are a diverse group of Dance Sisters, but we all share a passion for dance. We'd love to share that passion with you.
